StrikeCast is privacy-forward: never shared, never tracked. We do not use advertising identifiers (no IDFA), and we do not sell or share personal data.
What this website collects
The website shows live lightning activity for a city using that city’s center coordinates — it does not request or store your precise location. We use privacy-friendly, cookieless product analytics (PostHog) to count page views and link clicks in aggregate. You can opt out via your browser’s Do Not Track / Global Privacy Control signal.
The app
The StrikeCast app uses your location only while the app is in use, to compute your distance to the nearest strike and to power alerts. Location is never shared or sold.
