StrikeCast answers one question fast: how close is the lightning, and is it coming toward me? Instead of a vague city-wide count, you get the nearest-strike distance in miles and a live trend — approaching or moving away.

Strikes come from NOAA’s GOES-GLM geostationary lightning mappers, which cover the entire US in near real time. The app adds free push alerts for the places you care about, without keeping it open.
